Gallery Route One is thrilled to present the most anticipated event of the year, the BOX Show. Appointments are recommended to assure your entry to the Opening Day of the Box Show without waiting.
Steve writes "This box is a love letter to a painter, a poet, and a pet. Richard Diebenkorn would be 99 this year. His Ocean Park paintings speak my language. So does the poetry of W.H. Auden, who died 49 years ago. In “Musée des Beaux Arts” he observes that even in the face of miracles and tragedies, “the dogs go on with their doggy life.” Our first dog, Milo would be 36 this year. One of the best things he taught me is that seeing is knowing where to look."
View the Box Show entries from 152 artists on the Gallery Route One Website.
The Box ShowAuction officially opens on Saturday, July 24 at 11am and will close on Saturday, September 11 at 4pm. Registration for bidding can be found on the Gallery website or click on the link below.
Keith writes about his box "The only hope for peace and understanding resides in our children and their children’s children in a slow but sure evolutionary awakening."
